The Round Table Lodge of Derbyshire was formed in 1976 by members of Round Table who were already Freemasons and decided that they would like to continue meeting as friends in a different environment. Over the years we have had many people join who were not “ ex – Tablers “ ( there is no requirement to have been ex Round Table to join ) so it could be said that the connection to Round Table has become secondary although we are lucky to still have some of the founding members still with us.
The Lodge prides itself on doing good ceremonial work whilst always being of the view that Freemasonry should be enjoyable and good fun – its well known at Dore for being a “ happy “ Lodge and long may this continue. Our membership includes a great mix of younger enthusiastic Masons as well as long serving experienced ones. Our members are from a wide range of backgrounds and we have a tremendous spirit of friendship, team spirit and camaraderie. We love to support smaller local charities where even small amounts make a great deal of difference and our Charity Steward is always out and about looking for good causes to support.
